FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team will hold a couple of fan-friendly events in October in advance of the 2017-18 season.

On Oct. 9, the Patriots will host their annual Hoops & Heels dinner sponsored by Sandy Spring Bank. Then, later that week on Oct. 14, the team will hold an open practice at EagleBank Arena.

Hoops & Heels is an annual preseason tip-off event that allows fans a chance to learn more about the team and meet the players and coaching staff in the lobby of the Center for the Arts on the Fairfax Campus. A reception and team photos will start at 6 p.m., with dinner to be served at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $25 per person. RSVP to LeeAnn Bushar at 703-993-4147 or lbushar@gmu.edu by Oct. 4.
