FERRUM, Va. – Redshirt junior Greg Flournoy was named to the VaSID All-State second team on Monday afternoon. Voting was done by the state's sports information directors.
Fresh off a third straight Top-10 finish at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, Virginia Tech hauled in the state's top hardware on the 2015 VaSID All-State Team. Devin Carter earned Wrestler of the Year, Zack Epperly Rookie of the Year and Kevin Dresser Coach of the Year.
Flournoy ended his season with a record of 28-12 and now has 64 career wins, 28th all-time at George Mason. His season included a 16-6 record in duals and a third place finish at the Navy Classic along with a true second finish at 157lbs. at EWL Championships to clinch his first NCAA Tournament berth. Flournoy was ranked in both RPI (25th) and in the Coaches' Panel (28th) and was a one-time EWL Wrestler of the Week.
