The George
Mason T&F team hosts its second meet of the season this weekend, with over
800 competitors from 27 schools making the trip to Fairfax.
Mason is
coming off of a successful meet last weekend at the UAlbany Great Dane Classic,
where the squad set one school record, two meet records, three event winners
and recorded several ECAC and IC4A qualifying marks. Senior David Verburg
shattered both a meet record and Mason school record in the 500m with a time of
1:01.29. The other meet record came from freshman pole vaulter Jasmine Moser,
who posted a height of 3.95m in the event at her first collegiate meet.
Thus far
this season, the Patriots have five individual and two relay IC4A qualifying
times and five individual and one relay ECAC qualifying marks.
