George Mason head coach Bill Brown has signed six standout players to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. The Patriots' latest recruiting class features three pitchers and three position players.

Mason's class of 2013 includes catcher Garett Driscoll (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock), outfielder Nick Gallo (Sewell, N.J./Paul VI), right-handed pitcher Alec Grosser (Alexandria, Va./TC Williams), left-handed pitcher Tyler Kardas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay East Fishkill), first baseman/left-handed pitcher Jayme Murray (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac) and right-handed pitcher Tyler Zombro (Staunton, Va./Robert E. Lee).

"We are very excited to welcome this group of outstanding young men into our program and university," said Brown. "We expect all six of these student/athletes to be a great core group for our program in the years to come and they will represent Mason baseball with class both on and off the field. Every one of these young men will be counted on to contribute right away and the coaching staff is excited to see their many future successes."

Here is a look at the incoming recruiting class:

Garett Driscoll

Head Coach Bill Brown: "Garett is a great fit for our university and program. He will play a huge role early in his career and has the ability to catch from the day he sets foot on campus. He has great baseball instincts from playing for Coach Rutherford and plays the game the right way."

Nick Gallo
Sewell, N.J./Paul VI
OF - 6-0 - 210 - L/R
Attends Paul VI High School, playing for coach Patrick Fisher ... played showcase baseball for All-Star Baseball Academy and coach Mike Manning.

Head Coach Bill Brown:
"Nick fills our outfield need in this class and will also present a mature left-handed bat that shows the ability to hit at a high level. Defensively, he can play all-three outfield positions with the intention of becoming our everyday centerfielder early in his career."

Alec Grosser

RHP - 6-4, 190 - R/R

Plays high school baseball at TC Williams for coach Jim Blair ... played travel ball for the Stars organization and coach Carson Carroll during the 2012 summer ... also played for the Canes in the fall ... won a gold medal with the North Team during the 2012 Commonwealth Games ... ranked No. 181 in the nation by Perfect Game and the sixth-best prospect in the state of Virginia ... three year starting quarterback for TC Williams.

Head Coach Bill Brown: "Alec is a very high profile pitcher and we expect him to have a phenomenal career at Mason. His fastball has been clocked as high as 95 this past summer and he will be a core member of our pitching staff as a freshman. I look forward to seeing him reach his potential at Mason and become a dominant top of the rotation pitcher for us."

Head Coach Bill Brown: "Tyler is a left handed pitcher who will be a core member of the staff. We are very excited to have Tyler in our program and we expect him to have an immediate impact."
