CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - In
their final regular season dual of year, Mason lost to University
of Viginia, 29-7, in Charlottesville. The Patriots came away with victories from
junior Shohei Takagi, who earned a 6-1 decision while wrestling at 157 pounds
and Mendbagana Tovuujav who won his 197 bout by a 17-5 major decision.
With the regular season now reaching its conclusion, Mason
will look to ending the season strong in the CAA Tournament the first weekend
in March in Binghamton, New York.
With a successful showing in the National Tournament, some wrestlers can
keep their National Tournament hopes alive.
Nationals will be held on Thursday, March 15th - Sunday,
March 17th in St. Louis,
Missouri.
