Mid-Atlantic Showcase Softball Camp Set for Oct. 24-26

FAIRFAX, Va. – Registration is open for the annual Mid-Atlantic Showcase softball camp set for Oct. 24-26 at the George Mason Softball Complex. The Showcase is run by Joe Verbanic 5 Tool Softball and will provide campers the opportunity to display their skills in front of top coaches from the Mid-Atlantic Region. Previous schools that have attended the showcase include:  Georgetown, Cornell, Virginia Wesleyan, George Washington, Marist, St. John’s, Shepherd University, Maryland, Army, Penn State, Longwood, Elon, NSU, and CNU. 

Participants will be instructed and evaluated by the coaches in attendance in batting, fielding, pitching, catching, and base running.

Cost for the camp is $300 and a sample schedule is listed below:

Times:

Friday Optional campus tour and watch team practice 2pm-5pm
Camp Starts Friday 5pm-9pm
Saturday 9am-12noon & 2pm-8pm
Sunday 9am-12noon

Equipment
Each player must bring her own softball equipment. Players should bring a batting helmet, batting gloves, bat, glove, sweats, catchers gear, kneepads, tennis shoes, cleats, athletic clothing, visor or hat and water bottle.

The camp will include skill instruction and games and is open to any and all registrants between the ages of 13-18.
