George Mason makes its first-ever trip to the Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. (ET)/1:30 p.m. (CT) tip. The Atlantic 10 Conference foes meet for the first time in program history Saturday afternoon. The Billikens are ranked No. 19 in the latest Associated Press poll and No. 21 in the latest USA Today Coaches poll.
Saint Louis sits atop the A-10 standings as the lone remaining team undefeated in the league. Currently on a 13-game win streak, the Billikens boast an overall 11-1 mark at home, including a 3-0 league mark. Saint Louis is led offensively by Dwayne Evans with a 15.0 ppg average. Evans also leads the team on the glass, securing 6.3 rebounds per game. Saint Louis last defeated Richmond at home, 77-57. Saint Louis captured its first A-10 Championship title last season with a victory over VCU.
Mason continues to look for its first A-10 win of the season and comes into Saturday's contest after a bye week. Mason last played on Saturday, facing local rival George Washington. The Colonials took away a 75-69 decision. Jalen Jenkins picked up his third A-10 Rookie of the Week honor on Monday after averaging a double-double of 11.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in Mason's two games last week.
