George Mason men's tennis head coach Gary Quam has announced the addition of four incoming student-athletes to the Patriot's team. The recruiting class consists of Bader Alomran (Saddlebrook Preparatory School/Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), Youssef Khalafallah (Riada Language School /Alexandria, Egypt), James Lange (Starrs Mill H.S./Peach Tree City, GA), and Wesley Wong (Freedom H.S./South Riding, VA).
Alomran earned a No. 1 ranking in his native country Saudi Arabia. He also has been ranked in the top 20 in Asia at 14U. He excels in the classroom as well attaining the highest GPA in the school as a 10th and 11th grader.
Youssef Khalafallah earned second place in singles and doubles at the Alexandria Sporting Club in Egypt. He maintained a 4.0 GPA at the Riada Language School. He earned first place in singles and second in doubles at the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
James Lange is from Atlanta, GA and earned MVP honors as a freshman at Starrs Mill H.S. He recorded a 17-3 record leading the Panthers to the state championship. He ranked #5 in the state of Georgia and as high as #60 in the nation and #10 in the south.
A local product from South Riding, VA, Wong earned MVP honors twice at Freedom High School. He was a letter-winner for three years and was team captain for one year. He has ranked as high as #28 in USTA. He was individual champion for three straight years and state individual finalist in 2011. He was regional doubles champion for two straight years, 2011 and 2012.
