The George Mason men’s basketball team opens its final homestand of the 2012-13 season, welcoming the College of William & Mary to Fairfax on Saturday. The Tribe, who are winners of three straight, have dropped the last three meetings with Mason.
William & Mary sits three spots back in the Colonial Athletic Association standings of Mason at 6-9, and is just 1-6 away from home in conference play. Three Tribe players average double-digit scoring, led by Marcus Thornton who ranks second in the CAA at 18.5 points per game. Tim Rusthoven and Brandon Britt chip in 14.3 and 14.1 points per game, respectively, and the Tribe leads the CAA in team field goal shooting at 46.3 percent.
Mason leads the all-time series, 38-27.
