The George Mason men’s basketball team will look to get back to the win column on Tuesday night as it hosts preseason Colonial Athletic Association favorite Drexel. The Patriots have won four straight against the Dragons in Fairfax, dating back to the 2005-06 season.
Drexel sits seventh in the CAA standings with its .500 mark of 4-4 in conference play, including a 66-64 loss to Delaware in Philadelphia on Monday night. That game snapped a three-game winning streak for the Dragons, who captured the regular season CAA title last year. Leading the offense is Damion Lee, who averages 18.2 points per game along with a team-high 86.1 percent mark from the free throw line. Both averages rank second currently in the CAA.
Mason leads the all-time series, 12-7, with the teams splitting the last four matchups.
