In April, Morrison signed a professional contract with the Port of Antwerp Giants in Belgium, joining the team for remainder of the 2012 season. "When the opportunity for me to play in the pros came
early, I wasn't sure but Division 1 in a great city
like Antwerp sounded great," Morrison said. "The chance to join a winning team that doesn't
need me to come in and do too much seemed like an opportunity to learn
that I couldn't pass up, and I'm glad I didn't."
Already, Morrison has made an impact, appearing in two games with Antwerp. He has posted five rebounds, two points, and one steal in 12 minutes of action through two games. The Giants have three games remaining in their regular season. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native signed with the team on April 20. Morrison has remained enrolled at George Mason throughout the process and is on track to graduate later this month with a degree in communications. In his four-year career at Mason, Morrison averaged 7.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 blocks per game, appearing in 128 career contests, the fifth-most of any Mason player, with 96 starts. He completed 56.7 percent of his field goal attempts, sixth in school history, while his 174 blocks are tied for second-most in program history and his 658 career rebounds rank 13th among all-time Patriots.
