London, England - George Mason track and field volunteer assistant Samyr Laine continued his quest for gold at the 2012 Olympics, advancing to the finals in the triple jump.
Laine, competing for the Hatian National Team, lept a distance of 16.81m during his second jump of the preliminary round. The distance was good for sixth in his group and 10th overall, with the top 12 competitors advancing to the finals on Thursday at 2:20 pm EST.
