The EIVA recently announced its 2013 All-Academic Team and the George Mason men's volleyball team led the way with three nominees.

In a closely contested match, the second-seeded George Mason men's volleyball team fell just short as it was upended by third-seeded Harvard, 3-2, on Thursday evening from Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State.

The Patriots return to the EIVA Tournament as the second seed this season, squaring off with the third-seeded Harvard Crimson on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. from Rec Hall at Penn State University.

In the final week of regular season competition, senior Shaun Sibley was named the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Sweeping host Princeton in straight sets on Saturday, the George Mason men's volleyball team secured the No. 2 seed in the upcoming EIVA Tournament.
