It was a big day for the George Mason track and field program on Friday at the NCAA East Preliminaries

Three individuals advanced to the quarterfinals of their respective events to highlight the George Mason track & field team's showing at the NCAA East Preliminaries on Thursday, taking place at Irwin Belk Track on the campus of North Carolina A&T.

The George Mason track and field team is set to compete at the 2013 NCAA East Preliminaries, looking to earn a coveted spot at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships the first weekend in June in Eugene, Oregon.

Two Patriots took home All-CAA baseball honors for the 2013 season, as announced by the conference office at the annual baseball banquet preceding the tournament on Tuesday evening in Harrisonburg.

Sophomore Jake Kettler and the George Mason Wrestling program were honored by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) for their academic success.
