While many would consider the 2008-09 season to be a rebuilding year for the George Mason women's basketball team, the Patriots believe that they have the talent and the desire to compete among the best in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Patriots to Host Mason Madness on Friday
George Mason University's Intercollegiate Athletics will present its annual rite of fall, Mason Madness on Friday, Oct. 17, beginning at 9:30 p.m. at the Patriot Center. The doors will open at 9:00 p.m. and the event is FREE and open to the public.

Three Patriots Earn Swimming and Diving Weekly Awards
After successful performances this past weekend at George Mason's swimming and diving conference opener against Delaware, three Patriots were honored Tuesday by the Colonial Athletic Association as winners of its weekly awards. Freshman Bryan Bahr and sophomore Lisa Faulkner were tabbed the CAA Men's and Women's Divers of the Week, while freshman Ashley Danner earned Co-Women's Swimmer of the Week plaudits.

Mason Golf Finishes Final Round of Three at the Duke Coca Cola Individual Collegiate
North Carolina's Philip Chauncey fired a final round two-under 69 to overcome a five-shot deficit and claim the Duke Coca-Cola Individual Collegiate with a one-over 214 (74-71-69). The challenging Duke University Golf Club (6,961 yards, par 71) yielded just three under-par rounds on Tuesday.
